Former Delaware Co. sheriff arrested for DUI

JAY, Okla. -- A former Delaware County sheriff who resigned in 2004 after being arrested for driving under the influence has been arrested again for DUI.

Lenden Woodruff of Colcord was arrested for DUI, carrying a firearm while under the influence, transporting an open container of beer and failure to wear a seat belt.

He was arrested last Thursday by Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers on U.S. Highway 59 in Delaware County.

In the 2004 case Woodruff resigned after being arrested on similar charges and he later pleaded guilty to DUI and carrying an open container.
