NORMAN — Former Oklahoma receiver Trey Metoyer was arrested again on an indecent exposure complaint, the Tyler Morning Telegraph reported Wednesday.

Metoyer was dismissed from Oklahoma’s football team after similar charges in Norman.

The most recent arrest came after Metoyer was observed exposing himself in his vehicle in the parking lot of a fitness center in Tyler, Texas, Tyler Police Department spokesman Don Martin told the newspaper.

Metoyer was a five-star prospect when he signed with Oklahoma out of Whitehouse (Texas) High School in February 2011, but because of academic issues, he was forced to play that fall at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia.

He qualified academically for OU after a few months there, though, and enrolled at Oklahoma for the spring 2012 semester. He shined at the Sooners’ spring game, raising expectations for Metoyer’s highly anticipated collegiate career.

Metoyer began the 2012 season as a starter, but was benched after only four games and finished his true freshman season with 17 catches, 148 yards and one touchdown.

He returned for his sophomore campaign but was again struggling for playing time when he left the team in early October after he was arrested on two felony counts of indecent exposure.
