A former longtime agent at the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been accused of stealing test answers from two computers and attempting to cover up his theft.

Former Special Agent Jerry Raymond Cusic, 62, was charged Monday with two felony computer crime counts and one misdemeanor count of destroying evidence.

The charges were filed in Oklahoma County District Court.

“Integrity is one of the core values embraced by the OSBI, so we were extremely disappointed when it was discovered one of our investigators had violated the law. At the end of our investigation, it was clear this case should be forwarded to the district attorney for prosecutorial purposes,” OSBI Director Stan Florence said.

Cusic, an agent since 2002, resigned Nov. 5. He does not have a listed telephone number.

Cusic’s alarm code had been entered at the University of Central Oklahoma’s Forensic Science Building and its server room on the morning of Aug. 31.

He was seen on surveillance video plugging a thumb drive into an Oklahoma City police sergeant’s computer, then removing a hard drive from a UCO forensic examiner’s computer and returning to his desk, according to the probable cause affidavit.
