EUFAULA — A former sheriff and undersheriff in McIntosh County have pleaded guilty in state court to embezzlement and conspiracy for taking money from a motorist.
Former Sheriff Terry Alan Jones and Undersheriff Mykol Travis Brookshire were sentenced Monday to 14 and 13 years in prison, respectively.
Both admitted splitting $5,000 taken from a motorist during a traffic stop.
