A former Millwood teacher and coach accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old female student has been charged in Oklahoma County.

Eric Harris, 34, was arrested May 23 and allegedly confessed to the abuse, which spanned several months.

Court records show the alleged sexual abuse started late last year when Harris, who is married, asked the girl to send a nude photo of herself to his mobile phone.

The girl told detectives the interactions progressed, including an incident at school.

Harris asked the girl for oral sex on three separate occasions while driving her home from school functions, records show. The girl said she “was afraid to say no” when the defendant asked for oral sex.

The suspect, who taught math and coached boys basketball and baseball, has been charged with three counts of forcible oral sodomy, rape by instrumentation, indecent or lewd acts with a child under 16 and soliciting child pornography. It is the first known arrest for Harris.

Harris' bail has been set at $250,000.
