OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — State prosecutors have charged a former Crescent nursing home employee and her state prison inmate boyfriend in connection with the theft of prescription drugs.

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt's office announced Friday that 36-year-old Jodi Alexander is charged with larceny and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. Prosecutors also charged 28-year-old Dale Steven Markus with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

Online court records do not list an attorney for either Alexander or Markus.

Prosecutors say Alexander worked at Crescent Care Center and altered medical records to hide her theft of narcotics that she gave to Markus before he was imprisoned in November 2012 for domestic abuse.

Investigators say Alexander no longer works in the nursing home industry.
