The Cleveland Browns claimed tackle Michael Bowie on waivers from the Seahawks. Seattle waived the former Oklahoma State offensive lineman Saturday with the “injured” designation, due to a shoulder injury that the team said would sideline him for 4-6 months.
Much love to the Seahawks and the 12's, I had the best rookie year I could ask for and played with some great athletes and leaders!— Michael Bowie (@79likebo) August 3, 2014

Bowie, a seventh-round pick in 2013, started eight games for the Seahawks at right tackle in their Super Bowl campaign last season. Bowie was expected to compete for a starting spot at right tackle.
The Dallas Morning News reported that the Dallas Cowboys also attempted to claim Bowie off waivers, but Cleveland had priority on the list.
