Former OSU golf coach Mike McGraw to coach Baylor Published: June 16, 2014

Former Oklahoma State golf coach Mike McGraw is coming back to the Big 12, as he was named the men’s head golf coach at Baylor on Monday.

Fresh off of an NCAA Championship as an assistant with Alabama, McGraw was the head coach at OSU for eight seasons, leading the Cowboys to the 2006 NCAA title and a runner-up finish in 2010. McGraw was an assistant in Stillwater when the Cowboys won the title in 2000.

McGraw guided the Cowboys to five Big 12 titles and was conference Coach of the Year three times in his eight seasons at the helm in Stillwater.

"I'm thrilled and humbled that (Baylor Director of Athletics) Ian McCaw is going to give me an opportunity to come back to a part of the world I know and love," McGraw said via press release. "I know the Big 12 very well, and I'm really excited about getting going in recruiting."

McGraw helped the Crimson Tide to its second consecutive NCAA team title with a win over Oklahoma State in May.
