Former Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart says it feels weird that he's not going back to Stillwater this fall, but he's anxious to make his mark in the NBA very soon.

He's also happy for the opportunity to be in Las Vegas this summer. The newest Boston Celtics guard is playing for Team USA Select, helping the USA Basketball team prepare for the FIBA World Cup, which starts in August. Smart talked about being able to reflect on the last year of his life.

"I can finally take a breath," Smart told Mark Travis of Cowboys Ride for Free. "It feels good to be here. To be back here with the best players in the world, it's still unbelievable."

In the piece, Smart talks about buying his mother a house in Flower Mound, Texas, his affinity for Stillwater and his hearing his name called by NBA commissioner Adam Silver.
