Former OSU guard Markel Brown fractures hand, out 4-6 weeks Published: August 11, 2014

Brooklyn Nets guard Markel Brown has been diagnosed with a fractured right hand, as announced by the team on Monday, putting the former Oklahoma State guard out 4-6 weeks.

According to the Nets, Brown suffered a non-displaced fracture of the fourth metacarpal in his right hand. The 44th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, Brown averaged 10.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists for the Nets in five summer league games with the Nets.
