Former OU men's tennis coach to get honor

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — A former tennis coach at OU will be posthumously inducted into the Oklahoma Tennis Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Jerry Keen will be honored by the U.S. Tennis Association Oklahoma District at its Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Jim Thorpe Association and Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame Museum.

Keen was the Sooners' head coach from 1964 to 1987. He coached 12 Big Eight Conference team champions and 83 individual champions. He had a career coaching record of 401-221-2, including a 138-25 mark in Big Eight Conference play.

Keen passed away during his 23rd year coaching the Sooners.
