I just want to contribute to the team and work my hardest. I believe that if you work as hard as you can, you can't control anything else and opportunities will come your way. If I go in and work the hardest, good things will happen.
You originally committed to the University of Memphis before going to Kansas. What's it going to be like going back to Memphis?
When I took my visit there it was mostly just to visit my brother and have family time. Now that I'll get to go there to live I'll definitely be learning more about the city.
How important to you has your family been in this process?
The support has been great. My friends and family have always stuck with me and they knew I could do something special. I gave it my all for all those years, and I want those people in my life to know that I recognize all that they've done for me and I want to thank them for that.
