Former Tulsa men's basketball coach Doug Wojcik was fired by the College of Charleston on Tuesday for what CoC president Glenn F. McConnell described as "just cause" after multiple investigations into allegations of verbal and physical abuse.

Wojcik vowed never to resign even after a 50-page report described him as a "bully" who berated players at Charleston in his two seasons with the program.

"As president, my highest priorities include the safeguarding of our College community, the preservation and enhancement of the College’s excellent reputation, and the creation of a campus environment in which all students, faculty, staff, volunteers, friends and guests feel welcome, safe and respected," McConnell said via press release Tuesday.

Wojcik was fired from Tulsa in 2012, finishing with a 140-92 record as Hurricane coach.
