FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Former University of Arkansas pitcher Michael Gunn has signed a professional contract with the Boston Red Sox.
Gunn is a left-hander who was selected by the Red Sox in the 16th round with the 494th overall pick in the recent Major League Baseball first-year player draft.
He joins former Razorback teammates Chris Oliver with Philadelphia, Brian Anderson with Miami and Eric Fisher with Miami to sign professional deals.
Gunn was assigned to Boston's Class A short season Lowell Spinners.
