MARIETTA — Jason Bone, former Love County undersheriff, is facing multiple counts of embezzlement, the Daily Ardmoreite reports.

Four counts of embezzlement were filed against Bone in Love County, District Attorney Jason Hicks said.

Bone was released on a personal recognizance bond after an initial court appearance Friday.

The charges stemmed from money missing from a safe at the sheriff's department. The money was from a drug investigation, authorities said.

The charges say Bone removed more than $20,000 for his personal use.
