FORT SMITH, Ark. — Fort Smith police say investigators suspect foul play in the death of a woman found unresponsive on her living room floor.
Police say the husband of 50-year-old Sakounswk Vilayhong found his wife unresponsive Thursday afternoon after he returned home from work. Fort Smith police say Vilayhong suffered “suspicious injuries” and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say a preliminary investigation shows that Vilayhong spent most of the day at a casino in nearby Pocola, Okla. Authorities say they believe Vilayhong left the casino shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday. Police say her husband found her body about two hours later.
Vilayhong's body will be sent to the Arkansas Crime Laboratory for an autopsy. Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Smith police.
