Foundation gives $14,000 for mental health screening

The Mental Health Association of Central Oklahoma was awarded a $14,000 grant from the Oklahoma City Community Foundation for depression screening and treatment services.

The grant will be used to assist with screening and treatment programs for homebound older adults, which will allow the mental health association to increase its level of service, said Charlotte New, the nonprofit organization's executive director. The money is provided through the foundation's Access to Health Care Services fund.
