Four Oklahomans die in weekend crashes on state roadways

A Kingfisher motorcyclist and an unidentified pedestrian in Rogers County were among four killed in separate crashes late Friday and early Saturday, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Brown was killed and three others injured early Saturday after his car was struck by a pickup on Acre Road, five miles east and two miles south of Marland in Noble County, troopers said.

Brown's vehicle was parked in the roadway just over a hillcrest with its headlights off when the collision occurred just after 1 a.m., troopers said.

One passenger — Frances L. Brown, 24, of Ponca City — was hospitalized in stable condition. Two others — Michael A. Roughface, 21, and Josh R. Allen, 28, both of Ponca City — were treated and released.

The driver of the pickup, Michael Scott Case, 24, Marland, was not injured.

Justin Ward, 24, Poteau

Ward was westbound on Old Highway 112 one mile east of Poteau in Le Flore County about 7:45 a.m. Saturday. The car left the roadway, hit a ditch and a utility pole and rolled over, troopers said.

Ward was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt, troopers said. has disabled the comments for this article.
