. Bowie had been committed to Kansas State before Ron Prince was let go, and now he’s committed to Texas Tech.

Who are some Oregon players OSU fans should become familiar with?

Nick Reed and Jeremiah Johnson are at the forefront. Reed is a senior sack specialist at defensive end. He led the Pac-10 with 13 sacks, which also ranked second nationally. Johnson, a senior running back, rushed for 1,082 yards and 12 scores, while junior running back LaGarrette Blount added 928 yards and 16 TDs.

Safety Patrick Chung and cornerback Jairus Byrd lead a talented secondary, and both have NFL-type ability.

Jeremiah Masoli is a mobile quarterback, too, rushing for more than 600 yards in a spread offense that has some similarities to what the Cowboys do.

Will fans have any more opportunities to watch the Cowboys practice before the bowl game?

It’s not likely. The Cowboys have six more workouts in Stillwater, then five after they arrive in San Diego on Dec. 25. It’s doubtful that any more of them will be open as the team begins to work more and more on the game plan for Oregon.
