der Leach, the Red Raiders have had some good quarterbacks – Kliff Kingsbury, B.J. Symons, Sonny Cumbie and Cody Hodges – but none took Tech to these heights. Harrell has Tech at 10-0 for the first time since 1938, on a 12-game winning streak that dates back to last season and ranked No. 2 in both polls and the BCS.

And while none of the other Red Raider QBs made a mark in the NFL, Mel Kiper Jr. rates Harrell No. 1 among college seniors.

Sticking with the topic of NFL prospects, how does Kiper see the Sooners?

Very favorably. Juaquin Iglesias is the top-ranked senior wide receiver, while Duke Robinson is No. 1 at offensive guard and Phil Loadholt is No. 5 at offensive tackle.

OU’s underclassmen also rank high. On the list of juniors and third-year sophomores: Quarterback Sam Bradford is No. 2, behind Georgia’s Matthew Stafford; Brody Eldridge is No. 4 at fullback; and tight end Jermaine Gresham is No. 1.

Oh, and there’s a former Sooner that Kiper thinks highly of: Rhett Bomar, ranked No. 2 among senior quarterbacks.
