Fox Sports Oklahoma will televise Thunder
Fox Sports Net will televise up to 65 Oklahoma City Thunder games on its revamped regional network, Fox Sports Oklahoma, which will debut in late October to coincide with the start of the NBA season.
The remaining regular-season games and all seven preseason games will be televised by an over-the-air station, said Ken Adelson, Thunder senior vice president and executive producer. Adelson said he hoped to announce a deal with the station this week. Fox Sports Oklahoma also will carry "Thunder Live” pregame and postgame programs and a weekly "Thunder Insider” show, said network general manager Jon Heidtke. Brian Davis and Grant Long, a 14-year NBA veteran, will broadcast the games with a yet-to-be named sideline reporter. The studio shows are expected to originate from Fox Sports Southwest's Dallas studio. Heidtke said he expected about half of the game telecasts will air in HD. In past seasons, FSN Southwest has aired Dallas Mavericks games in Oklahoma. Fox Sports Oklahoma still will air some Mavericks telecasts to homes outside a 75-mile radius of Oklahoma City — the Thunder's primary NBA territory.
