Metro Transit will offer free bus rides Friday, part of a summer-long effort to promote clean air.

Officials say riding the bus contributes to cleaner air — and that makes breathing easier for the 32,000 children and 89,000 adults in central Oklahoma who have asthma.

Find bus schedules and learn more at gometro.org or by calling 235-RIDE (7433). Carpooling information can be found at www.getaroundok.com.

Metro Transit bus rides are free the third Friday of each month through September. The remaining ride-free days are Aug. 16 and Sept. 20.
