TransUnion will offer its services to more than 160 million people to settle a class-action lawsuit claiming the company improperly marketed clients' personal and financial information.
To sign up, go to listclassaction.com before Sept. 24. There are two options for free services.
If you choose six months of credit monitoring, you may also receive a cash distribution (if there is a cash distribution). If you sign up for nine months of credit monitoring service, you will not be eligible for any potential payout.
The six-month service offers unlimited daily access to your TransUnion credit report and credit score, as well as other features. The company values that service at $59.75.
The nine-month service, valued at $115.50, includes all the services in the six-month option plus insurance scores and a mortgage simulator service.
