Free diabetes health screenings this week in Norman, Del City and other Oklahoma cities

The screenings will take place at four Oklahoma pharmacies this week.
The Health Mart Healthy Living Tour is on the road to recognize community pharmacists for the role they play as health care providers in their communities, helping to educate and counsel people managing diabetes.
Tour staff will travel on a 40-foot mobile screening unit to offer free health screenings that include blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose and hemoglobin A1C tests.
The tour begins from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Dave's Health Mart Pharmacy, 329 N Porter Ave. in Norman.
Its next stop will be from 3 to 6 p.m. at Lassiter Drug, 3252 SE 29 St. in Del City.
The free screenings will continue Thursday:
• 9 a.m. to noon at R&S Health Mart Drug No. 3, 1507 U.S. 81 North, in Duncan;
• 3 to 6 p.m. at Camp Pharmacy Health Mart, 1 Medical Plaza, in Ratliff City.
The Health Mart Healthy Living Tour will visit more than 70 pharmacies nationwide.
The tour aims to raise awareness of the growing diabetes epidemic, a disease that affects about 26 million Americans.
