Body & Soul Fitness is offering free classes to anyone who lost their home in the recent Oklahoma tornadoes.

A five-week summer session of classes began at many area churches on Sunday.

“We want to show compassion and caring to those who have lost so much,” said Jeannie Blocher, president of Body & Soul Fitness.

“Our workouts use contemporary Christian music that will offer hope and encouragement to those facing devastating loss and overwhelming rebuilding,” she added.

Types of classes

Summer Body & Soul classes are offered in Oklahoma City, Moore, Yukon, and Edmond. There are six kinds of Body & Soul workouts: boot camp, power strength, cardio/strength, dance blast, strength and flexibility, and basic and beyond. Boot camp and power strength classes are offered in the Moore area at First Baptist Church of Moore, 301 NE 27; Capitol Hill Baptist, 304 SW 134; and Phoenix Rising Kung Fu San Soo, 8901 S Santa Fe Ave., Suite K.

In the aftermath of the Oklahoma tornadoes, donations have poured in from across the country to help Body & Soul students and one Body & Soul instructor who lost their homes in the recent tornadoes.
