Free faith-inspired fitness classes offered to Oklahoma tornado victims

Body & Soul Fitness is offering free classes to anyone who lost their home in the recent Oklahoma tornadoes.

“We believe the music used in our summer workouts will be especially encouraging to tornado victims,” said Stacia Becher, a class instructor in Moore.

Faith meets fitness

Body & Soul is “where faith and fitness meet.” It is an international nonprofit fitness organization founded in 1981 and led by national fitness leader Jeannie Blocher.

Body & Soul classes are in 30 states and 15 countries. Locally, they can be found at Quail Springs Church of Christ, Quail Springs Baptist Church, Henderson Hills Baptist Church, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Surrey Hills Baptist Church in Yukon, Pilates Plus in Norman, Memorial Road Church of Christ, C&D Fitness in Tuttle, First Baptist Church of Moore, Capitol Hills Baptist Church, Phoenix Rising Kung Fu San Soo, United Methodist Church of the Servant, and Edmond Christian Academy.
