Free legal advice April 30 in Norman

NORMANCleveland County lawyers will offer free legal advice to residents April 30 as part of this year’s Law Day celebration.

Residents with legal questions can call 360-7555 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Members of the Cleveland County Bar Association will be at the phones.

A statewide hot line will be staffed by lawyers from Oklahoma City and Tulsa from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., bar association spokeswoman Melissa Brown said. The toll-free number is (800) 456-8525.

Spanish-speaking attorneys will be available to translate for those who do not speak English, she said.

An "Ask a Lawyer” television program will air at 7 p.m. April 30 on public television stations across the state, Brown said.
