Freezing temperatures, frost expected Monday morning in Oklahoma before warming trend
Much of the state was under a frost warning Monday, but warmer temperatures are expected this week.
Much of the state, including Oklahoma City, was under a frost advisory Monday morning as temperatures dropped below freezing overnight.
The chilly morning capped a cold weekend, but warmer temperatures are expected later in the week along with a chance of storms.

Monday's high is expected to be 69 degrees, with a low of 46 overnight. Tuesday's high is forecast at 79 degrees.
Storm chances increase beginning Wednesday, with high temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees with even warmer temperatures for the weekend.
The forecast from the National Weather Service for Oklahoma City is:
Monday: Widespread frost before 9 a.m. Sunny, with a high near 67 and a low around 46 degrees.
Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 79 degrees and winds between 14 and 23 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 32 miles per hour. A low of around 48 degrees is expected Tuesday night.
Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 70 degrees and a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. The overnight low is expected to be around 62 degrees.
