After a warm and sunny Monday, temperatures will then drop overnight as cold weather arrives in Oklahoma Tuesday and Wednesday, the National Weather Service reports.
Temperatures will be near 69 degrees Monday in central Oklahoma. The overnight low temperature will be near 34 degrees with a high temperature Tuesday of 41 degrees.
A hard freeze warning is in effect for 8 p.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. Wednesday across all of Oklahoma except the Panhandle. Low temperatures in Oklahoma City will be near 23 degrees early Wednesday.
The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:
Monday: Partly sunny with a high near 69. South, southwest wind 5 to 11 mph becoming north in the afternoon.
Monday night: A 30 percent chance of showers mainly after midnight. Mostly cloudy with a low around 34. Windy with a north wind 6 to 16 mph increasing to 16 to 26 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 37 mph.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 41. North wind 17 to 22 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.
