Oklahoma defensive coordinator Mike Stoops praised the work of freshman cornerback Jordan Thomas early in camp.
Thomas is working with senior Julian Wilson at the cornerback spot opposite sophomore Zack Sanchez.
“He continues to show signs of really being a great player,” Stoops said of Thomas. “Hopefully Julian can continue to play at the rate he’s playing and J.T. would probably be our next corner as it stands right now.
“That’s a pleasant surprise through camp.”
Wilson played primarily nickelback last year but has played corner in the past.
