Friday night rewind: Blanchard survives, edging Cushing in Class 3A playoffs

Teams combine for 39 points in fourth. Blanchard plays Madill in the second round.

Pollard scored on a 15-yard run in the third quarter to make the score 21-0, then hit Michael Shaw on a 13-yard TD pass in the fourth. Josh Parton added a 43-yard touchdown run in helping Anadarko outgain Tecumseh (6-4) 240-67.

HILL'S BIG PLAYS CARRY HENNESSEY

Two-time defending Class 2A champion Hennessey began its 2013 playoff run with a 54-7 victory over Crooked Oak behind the big plays of Octavio Pina. Pina caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from Dylan Hatchel, returned a kickoff 79 yards for a score and returned an interception 50 yards for a TD.

Levi Hill scored three times, all on 1-yard runs for Hennessey (9-2). The Eagles advance to play Washington next week. Crooked Oak winds up 4-7.

MEEKER VICTORIOUS

Meeker went on the road and beat Hartshorne 28-18 in a Class 2A game as freshman Jacob Stanlee totaled 278 all-purpose yards. Stanlee threw a 74-yard touchdown pass to Dallas Jackson and a 10-yarder to Cameron Smith. Jackson also had an interception and six tackles for Meeker (7-4), which will play Commerce in the second round.

CASHION DEFEATS HEALDTON

Ty Reasnor threw for 268 yards and four touchdowns as Cashion beat Healdton 39-22 in Class A. Two of Reasnor's TD throws went to Nate Lee and the longest of the night, a 91-yarder, went to Peyton Maroney who finished with 153 yards on seven catches.

Cashion (11-0) plays Fairview next week.

OCS ADVANCES

Four touchdown passes by Austin Brooks led Oklahoma Christian to a 40-7 victory over Tonkawa in Class 2A. Brooks hit different receivers with each TD — Blake Barns for 6 yards, Conner Sikes for 37, Cameron James for 15 and Luke Frankfurt for 21. Frankfurt also scored on a 4-yard run.

OCS (10-1) plays Lindsay in the second round.

TANDEM LEADS ADA PAST WOODWARD

The quarterback-receiver tandem of Wyatt Robson and Easton Pingleton had another big night in leading Ada past Woodward 54-22 in Class 4A. Robson was 21 of 25 for 256 yards and four touchdowns, two of them to Pingleton, who had 12 catches for 134 yards. His TDs covered 47 and 3 yards, and he returned an interception 96 yards for a score.

Robson had a 4-yard scoring pass to Mason Girdley, who also ran for two TDs including a 96-yarder, and a 28-yarder to John Stout. Ada (11-0) plays Cleveland next week.

CHARGERS WIN

Connor McGinnis ran for 155 yards and three touchdowns, leading Heritage Hall to a 35-13 victory over Pauls Valley in Class 3A. The Chargers (8-3) scored 21 points in the third quarter after leading 14-13 at halftime, with McGinnis scoring on runs of 5 and 41 yards. They advance to play Jones in the second round.
