Blain Knapp of Davis can do just about whatever he wants today. The defensive back stopped Sulphur quarterback Zack Schwartz at the 2-yard line as time expired to preserve the Wolves’ 14-8 win in the Murray County War.

Sulphur (7-1) took over at its own 40-yard line with 33 seconds left. Two completions and a pass interference penalty later, the Bulldogs were down to the 2-yard line with 3 seconds remaining before Knapp saved the day.
"This game couldn’t have had more drama,” Davis coach Jody Weber said. "This is such a huge rivalry, and there were about 8,000 people there. It was a great atmosphere.”
Trailing 8-7, Davis (6-2) drove 80 yards in just over five minutes, culminating with a 1-yard score by Jerico Rogers with 33 seconds left.
Clemens has career night
Christian Heritage Academy senior running back Chas Clemens didn’t know what to expect against Luther. He certainly didn’t expect to have his best game.
Clemens rushed for 325 yards and four touchdowns in CHA’s 37-14 victory.
"A lot of credit has to go to the linemen,” Clemens said. "We played out of our minds, but we still have a lot to work on.”
After an 0-2 start, the Crusaders have won six straight in their first season as a member of the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association.
Blankenship, Wormington shine p/>
In less than two quarters, Beau Blankenship racked up 110 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Kyle Wormington added two punt returns for touchdowns as Norman North walloped Southmoore 52-21 behind a huge second quarter.
Norman North scored 42 points in less than eight clock-minutes in the second quarter to take a 49-0 lead. Wormington’s TD runs were from 88 and 48 yards.
The win ended a two-game losing streak and put Norman North at 6-2 overall and 3-2 in District 6A-1.
"After the last two weeks we were kind of down, but we had a great week of practice, and when we got things rolling tonight it went pretty smooth,” Blankenship said.
Crabaugh nears perfection p/>
Edmond North quarterback Cody Crabaugh connected on 17 of 19 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns as the Huskies rolled past Putnam City West, 49-17.
"The wideouts were wide open all night long. I was only sacked once and basically had all the time I wanted to throw the ball,” said Crabaugh.
