Friday night rewind: Heritage Hall clinches title in District 2A-1

Heritage Hall rolled past Mount St. Mary 37-19 on Friday night to clinch the District 2A-1 title.

Tanner France scored three touchdowns in the win — a 3-yard run, a 25-yard interception return and a 49-yard pass from Cooper Cloud. Star sophomore Barry Sanders, Jr. didn’t score.

St. Mary senior Mickey Mollman put up big numbers in the loss. Mollman had 10 tackles, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and rushed for three touchdowns.

McGuinness crushes Elk City
Bishop McGuinness will enter the Class 4A playoffs as a No. 2 seed after a 49-12 win at Elk City.

Senior Jameel Whitney scored on a 9-yard touchdown run to open the scoring for the Irish, and his younger brother Jamal, a junior, caught two touchdowns of 56 and 47 yards from Camden Tharp.

McGuinness will open the playoffs by hosting Tecumseh next Friday.

→Parker Randell, Oklahoma Christian Academy: Randell, a junior, carried 33 times for 244 yards and scored five TDs as OCA beat Bowlegs 42-22.

→Dillon Endecott, McLoud: Endecott threw four TD passes, one of them a 41-yarder, and scored two running touchdowns in a 40-36 victory over Seminole.

→Matt Luetjen, Hennessey: Luetjen scored on runs of 28 and 6 yards and threw a short touchdown pass, helping Class A No. 3 Hennessey complete an undefeated regular season with a 37-3 victory over Turpin.

→Darian Bennett, Crescent: A junior tailback and linebacker, Bennett scored on an 8-yard run and a 50-yard interception return, and made 13 tackles as Crescent beat Wellston 34-0.

Chris Wolfe, Seminole: Wolfe, a senior, had 41 carries for 232 yards and three touchdowns in Seminole’s 40-36 loss to McLoud.

→Blake Henderson, Bridge Creek: Henderson, a junior running back, ran for 248 yards on 44 carries with four touchdowns in the Bobcats’ 34-15 win over Comanche.
