p /> * Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History — At 2401 Chautauqua Ave., Norman. This world class museum is a world-class adventure for all ages, with exhibits ranging from dinosaurs to early life on the Plains and beyond.

* Heritage Express Trolley — El Reno. The only rail-based trolley in Oklahoma. While you’re in town, visit historic Fort Reno, which once was an Army remount station and later served as a World War II prisoner of war camp.

* Express Clydesdales Barn & Welcome Center — At 12701 W Wilshire in Yukon. See beautiful Clydesdale horses in a 1936 barn that was completely restored by a group of Amish barn specialists.

* Arcadia Lake — East of Edmond, just west of Arcadia. A man-made lake with a variety of creational opportunities, including boating, camping, picnicking, swimming, biking, walking and Frisbee golf.

* Round Barn — On State Highway 66 in Arcadia. This is a restored 1898 actual round barn that sits on a site close to the highway. This Route 66 landmark won a national preservation award and has early-day farming equipment on display.

* Route 66 — Cruise part of the famed “Mother Road” through central Oklahoma’s landscape.
