GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Furman isn't done on the football field with former Southern Conference rival Elon.

Furman athletic director Gary Clark said Friday the Paladins had scheduled football games with Elon in 2017 and 2018.

Elon is heading to the Colonial Athletic Association next month after 11 years in the SoCon.

Furman and Elon compete in the Football Championship Subdivision.

Furman will host Elon at Paladin Stadium on September 9, 2017, while the Phoenix will hold the game on September 8, 2018.

Furman owns an 11-6 series lead with Elon in football, but the Phoenix won the last meeting between the two, earning a 35-28 decision last fall in Paladin Stadium.
