Current Tennessee Titans and former University of Oklahoma center Gabe Ikard will have season ending surgery for a torn ACL and meniscus on Tuesday.
Ikard reportedly injured his knee during a preseason game against the New Orleans Saints on Aug. 15. He was a scratch for the Titans' preseason Week 3 game against Atlanta last Saturday.
Ikard joked via Twitter this weekend that he won't be able to help any fantasy football teams this season.
My apologies to fantasy football lovers. I will not be available to score tons of points for y'all this year. Season ending surgery Tuesday.— Gabe Ikard (@GabeIkard) August 23, 2014
Ikard went undrafted in 2014 after a decorated career at OU, but has been working to make the Titans roster in preseason.
Ikard isn't the only former Sooner to go down with a season-ending knee injury this preseason. Sam Bradford was rulled out for the year Sunday with a torn ACL.
