BAYAMON, Puerto Rico (AP) — The Los Angeles Galaxy and the Puerto Rico Islanders played to a 0-0 draw in the CONCACAF Champions League Wednesday.

The draw left the Galaxy in the lead in Group 5 over Isidro Metapan. The Major League Soccer team will face El Salvador's Isidro Metapan, which is second, in its final group match on Oct. 25.

The Galaxy were without marquee strikers David Beckham and Robbie Keane, neither of whom made the trip to Puerto Rico.

Neither player was involved in last month's home leg when the Galaxy beat the Islanders, of the North American Soccer League, 4-0 in Aug. 29.

Beckham has been sidelined for nearly three weeks with a sprained ankle.
