Whitney Grigsby, a doctoral student in occupational therapy from Creighton University, is working with J. D. McCarty Center patient Dalton Blevens. Disguised as play, Grigsby is helping Blevens work on his fine motor and visual skills as well as his bilateral coordination while creating spin paint artwork. Blevens was just one of the patients that Grigsby worked with during her 12-week pediatric clinical rotation at the J. D. McCarty Center in Norman, Oklahoma. The McCarty Center is a pediatric rehab specialty hospital that specializes in children with developmental disabilities.
