OKLAHOMA CITY / SKY LINE / OKLAHOMA / 1921 TO & INCLUDING 1928: If you are a Johnny-Come-Lately to Oklahoma City, this picture will intrigue you. It's the city skyline in August, 1926. You are looking northwest. In the foreground is the old Santa Fe station. The tracks had not yet been elevated and the present station was not even on the drawing board. The three buildings in the distance on the left are thee Sears Roebuck, Oklahoma club and Colcord. In the center you'll recognize the Herskowitz building and the Kingkaid hotel; on the right: the Skirvin. Conspicuously missing are the Biltmore, the First National, the Apco and Skirvin Tower. Staff photo by W. W. Harrison. Photo undated and published on 08/04/1946 in The Daily Oklahoman.
