OKLAHOMA CITY / SKY LINE / OKLAHOMA: CHANGING SKYLINE of downtown Oklahoma City changed some more during 1971. Some landmarks including the historic Huckins Hotel, disappeared. New buildings rose to blend with long-familiar structures in the new picture. From left in this photo, taken from the Crosstown Expressway looking north, are the First National Bank Building, the City National Bank, the Liberty Tower, the Kerr-Mcgee Center and the telephone tower buildings. The Fidelity Tower, which also climbed toward the sky this year, is not visible from this angle. Staff photo by George Tapscott. Photo undated and published on 01/01/1972 in The Daily Oklahoman.
