Gary Marrs, Ward 1 councilman and former fire chief for the Oklahoma City fire department, stands with Frances Kersey, city clerk, among  items that will be featured next Tuesday, March 1, when city officials  unveil the new History of Oklahoma City display in the second floor lobby of City Hall in downtown Oklahoma City.   City departments will be featured on a rotating basis. The fire department will be the first to be honored. Marrs stands between the 1938 Class A uniform worn by his grandfather, Hayden Marrs, who was deputy chief for the fire department.  and the firefighting bunker gear worn by current  city firefighters. Gary Marrs' father was also a firefighter for the city, retiring in 1976 at the rank of Captain.  Kersey holds a red fire helmet that was worn in the mid 1940s.
