Francelina Roy, a Kiowa,  places a colorful headpiece into the hair of her granddaughter, Stephanie Tongkeamha, 10, who is Ponca and Kiowa.  She performed cloth dances with a sister and a cousin.  At least 500 people representing several dozen Native American Nations within the state attended  a New Year's pow-wow in the Centennial Building at State Fair Park Saturday , January 7, 2012,   The celebration started around shortly after noon and continued into the night.
