Photo Gallery: New Year's pow-wow 4/23

Gabrielle Gallegos, 8, gets help with her costume from her grandmother,  June Carpitcher of Oklahoma City. Gabrielle is a member of the   Seminole Nation, but for the pow-wow, she dressed in Ponca attire to perform in the southern cloth dances.  At least 500 people representing several dozen Native American Nations within the state attended  a New Year's pow-wow in the Centennial Building at State Fair Park Saturday , January 7, 2012,   The celebration started around shortly after noon and continued into the night.
