Bud Crawford went up on the next flight. Warren Crawford, Oklahoma City, a 91 year-old WWII veteran, made his first skydive Saturday afternoon, Nov. 17, 2012, at Cushing Regional Airport. Crawford served as a bombardier during the war, but had never parachuted from a plane. He said this has been a dream of his for most of his life, but had promised his wife he wouldn't do it until after she died. Crawford's two sons, Steve and Bud, joined their father on the skydiving adventure.The elder Crawford performed a tandem jump with Andy Beck, an instructor at Skydive Oklahoma, which gives lessons and provides an airplane service for skydiving enthusiasts.
