Photo Gallery: Friends of the Metropolitan Library System annual booksale 29/41

Linda McCormack spends a minute scanning the pages of a book to decide if she wants to add it to her shopping cart, already full of books. McCormack drove to the sale from Granite. She said her first sale was five years ago and she knew then she was "hooked." She buys books for her personal use and said she comes to the sale to "buy a year's worth of reading at one time." She said her house looks like a library. Several thousand bibliophiles and bargain hunters crowded into Oklahoma Expo Hall at State Fair Park on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, in a quest to find reading material at deeply discounted prices. Friends of the Metropolitan Library System is holding their much-anticipated annual book sale this weekend. The sale continues Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Photo by Jim Beckel, The Oklahoman
