Students from Douglass High School's Beta Gamma Club, Putnam City North High School and Harding Fine Arts Academy create colorful designs and place numbers on a hopscotch game being painted on a sidewalk near the playground. Organizers said about 140 volunteers from Partners in Public Health, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, organizers from KaBOOM! and residents of the Oklahoma City community will provided the labor on Saturday, June 8, 2013, to build a new playground at the Northeast Regional Health and Wellness Center on NE 63 Street, east of MLK Blvd. The new playground's design is based on drawings created by children who participated in a Design Day event in April.
