Oklahoma State Fair setup 3/10

A man puts up log rail fences near teepees as workers construct exhibits today in the Centennial Frontier Experience area at State Fair Park. Workers with Harrison Entertainment in Soper, Oklahoma, have been contracted by fair officials to run the performances in the Wild West Showcase which features live characters and animals. The Centennial Frontier Experience gives fairgoers a taste of what life on the frontier was like with a twist of entertainment. American Indians, working blacksmiths, bowl turners, trick riders and ropers are part of the daily experience at the fair. Wednesday, Sep. 7, 2011, is the first day that contractors and vendors for this year's State Fair could bring their trailers and begin setting up booths up and down food row near 14 Flags Plaza. The fair begins Thursday, Sep. 15. Photo by Jim Beckel, The Oklahoman
