This photo taken by Cathy Guisewite shows a map that her parents created and marked with stars to point out the first newspapers that carried her "Cathy" comic strip on the day it appeared on Nov. 22, 1976. The map still hangs in her office. Her parents put a gold star for The Oklahoman to indicate the newspaper carried it from its early days to run in both Sunday and weekday newspapers.
