COLD WEATHER / WINTER STORM / SNOW / POSTAL CARRIER / MAILMAN / POSTMAN: Mail carrier David Alexander lowers his head and walks through snow delivering mail in a Midwest City neighborhood near SE 15 and Lockheed. Alexander, who has worked for the post office for 26 years, said the most difficult part of delivering the mail in this weather is walking through the snow. He said the sub-freezing temperatures don't bother him too much because he dresses for the cold. He wears five layers of clothing above the waist and three layers of clothing below the waist. He wears thermal undershirts and pants. On his feet, he wears boots. He wears gloves and a mask around his face. A second winter storm in a week dumped about 6 inches of snow in the Oklahoma City area Tuesday morning, Feb. 9, 2011. Photo by Jim Beckel, The Oklahoman ORG XMIT: KOD
