Kaitlyn Walsh, 7,  wears a hat and gloves to the tea. 48 girls assumed the roles of young ladies at a Victorian Tea hosted by the Edmond Historical Society and Museum on  Saturday,  Feb. 9,  2013,  Girls in the second grade through age 12 were treated to tea and finger foods while learning about the history and custom of teas as a social gathering. They also learned about manners and the proper behavior  that would be expected from someone attending a tea. Many of the girls wore Victorian-style dresses, hats, gloves. and period jewelry. This was the Historical Society's first tea event and organizers were pleased with the response and said they hope to plan additional tea events in the future.    Photo by Jim Beckel, The Oklahoman
